What's New At HubSpot: A Breakdown Of The Unbound 2026 Announcements

HubSpot used Unbound 2026 to make the case that AI works best when it's backed by real business context, not more tools and more tokens. The event introduced a CRM that keeps itself current, a rebuilt Breeze Assistant, a new home for campaigns in Marketing Studio, and tools that carry work through from a call to a closed deal to a collected invoice. This article breaks down everything that was announced and what each update actually does.

HubSpot's annual event, formerly Inbound, is now called Unbound. CEO Yamini Rangan opened this year's edition with a confession: AI hasn't made work easier; it has tripled it. Between writing prompts, validating outputs and refining results, she said the promise of AI often turns into a second job.

She talks about the "maxing phase": the stretch after a new technology arrives when everyone rushes to use more of it before anyone has worked out what it's actually for.

HubSpot surveyed 6,000 customers and prospects across industries to understand where this leaves most businesses today. The findings were stark: 90% of companies use AI, but only 6% report transformational results. That 6% are roughly four times more likely to hit their revenue targets and three times more likely to hit their efficiency targets. The companies pulling ahead, Yamini said, aren't doing more with AI. They're doing fewer things, chosen deliberately, backed by rich context about their own business, and paired with people who bring judgement to the process.

Duncan Lennox, HubSpot's Chief Product and Technology Officer, picked up from there with a run of product announcements built around exactly that idea: a stronger foundation, the right use cases, and a new way to work. Here's everything that was announced.

Smart CRM & Growth Context Foundation

Duncan described this as the foundation everything else at Unbound builds on: a CRM that keeps itself current, fed by rich context about the business, the team and the customer, with a central place to manage it all.

Smart CRM that updates itself

HubSpot's CRM has traditionally only known what someone remembered to log. The updated Smart CRM is designed to close that gap by capturing information automatically rather than relying on manual entry.

  • Automatically captures calls, emails and meetings, without anyone needing to log them
  • Adds new contacts, updates deal stages and lays out next steps on its own
  • Uses built-in data enrichment to keep contact and company records current, drawing on HubSpot's wider database of buyer and company profiles
  • Includes self-cleaning features that flag and fix data issues automatically
  • Keeps every AI-driven update visible, editable and under human control

Growth context

Growth context is the layer that powers personalisation across HubSpot. It is a combination of everything a business, its team and its customers know about how they work, and HubSpot uses it to ground AI outputs in specifics rather than generic responses.

  • Combines three types of context: business context (positioning, brand, company profile, product), customer context (personas, ICP, buying signals, conversation history) and team context (roles, goals, processes, approvals, sales playbooks, ways of working)
  • Powers more relevant messaging, accurate pricing and competitor references, and correctly timed outreach
  • Stays inside a customer's own HubSpot portal and is never shared externally
  • Is used to power recommendations, generate content and guide agent actions across the account

Context home

Context Home is the new central hub where users manage everything that feeds Growth Context. It's designed to give people visibility and control over what HubSpot's AI knows, rather than leaving that context to build up invisibly.

  • Scores how complete a business's context is and flags gaps to fill
  • Organises context into business, customer and team layers
  • Surfaces recommendations as new information comes in, such as meeting notes or transcripts
  • Gives users full control over what gets added or updated
  • Shows transparency on how context is being used, and HubSpot only acts on what a user has given permission to use

Breeze Assistant, Fully Rebuilt

HubSpot Breeze Assistant has moved from being a tool that summarises and preps to one that can act. Duncan called it a rebuild rather than an upgrade, and HubSpot's own data shows it already driving measurable outcomes for existing users: on average, customers using Breeze Assistant close 2.7 times more deals, generate four times more leads, and close 31% more tickets per service seat each month.

  • Understands plain-language requests, typed or spoken, and pulls in the right tools to complete them
  • Includes Agent Builder, where a user describes the custom agent they want, reviews Breeze's suggested plan and approves it before the agent goes live; once built, an agent can be tagged into a conversation like a teammate and called on directly
  • Can build reports straight from CRM data, such as a pipeline report ranked by value and stage, and convert them into polished, ready-to-share artefacts formatted to a specific preference, removing the manual exporting and reformatting reporting has traditionally required
  • Is included with every HubSpot subscription at no extra cost
  • Runs on the foundation of Growth Context, so responses are grounded in a business's own data rather than generic output

Marketing Studio, One Workspace for Campaigns

HubSpot Marketing Studio is a new unified workspace for planning, building and launching campaigns, replacing the need to switch between separate tools for strategy, content and execution.

  • Turns a stated goal (for example, "increase trial sign-ups among small business owners") into a full campaign plan, with channel recommendations and ready-to-use assets
  • Surfaces insights and recommendations, such as a drop in visibility on AI search platforms, directly inside the workspace
  • Builds a complete asset plan across channels, including narrative, KPIs and creative, once a strategy is approved
  • Supports real-time, multi-user collaboration on a shared visual canvas
  • Supports building nurture sequences to move incoming leads through the funnel after a campaign launches
  • Connects campaign performance data and leads directly back into HubSpot's CRM and reporting tools
  • Supports campaigns that run outside HubSpot too, letting teams map non-HubSpot channels and link out to external assets from the same canvas

Notetaker and Deal Progression

Two connected features aim to remove the manual work sales reps face after calls and meetings, an area Duncan flagged as one of the biggest sources of lost time and stale CRM data.

  • Mobile Notetaker lets reps dictate notes, next steps and observations by voice, straight after a call
  • Notes captured this way feed directly into the CRM automatically
  • Deal Progression reviews meetings, calls and emails to suggest next-best actions and CRM updates, approved with a single click
  • Deal Progression also monitors inbound emails and flags relevant signals, such as a prospect mentioning a competitor

Revenue Agent

HubSpot's Revenue Agent can now automate accounts receivable and collection follow-ups, one of the capabilities highlighted at Unbound as part of the platform's wider push to reduce administrative work across go-to-market teams.

  • Uses Growth Context, including customer risk, account age and deal value, to score, rank and prioritise overdue invoices
  • Drafts and sends tailored collection emails to past-due accounts, rather than generic reminders
  • Leaves finance teams to handle only edge-case exceptions, rather than every manual follow-up

First CRM Integration With ChatGPT Ads

HubSpot is now the first CRM to integrate with ChatGPT Ads, a partnership built with OpenAI. Duncan framed this as part of HubSpot's broader mission to make AI-era tools accessible to more businesses, arguing that decisions are increasingly being made inside conversational AI tools like ChatGPT, so being visible there matters.

Connecting ChatGPT Ads to HubSpot's CRM data lets marketing teams build and launch paid Ad campaigns targeting users inside ChatGPT search conversations directly from the HubSpot dashboard and to make attribution easier.

Taken together, these updates point to what HubSpot is trying to build: a CRM that stays current without manual upkeep, context that flows through every tool automatically, and teams that can act on that information without stitching together separate systems.

The aim is to cut down on the admin work that eats into a working day, whether that's logging a call, formatting a report or chasing an unpaid invoice, so people can spend more time on the parts of the job that need judgement. Whether that shows up in a CRM update, a campaign built in minutes, or an invoice collected without a single follow-up email, the underlying goal stays the same: less time managing tools, more time on the work that actually moves a business forward.
